A background in journalism and years of strategic experience have lead Baumhauer to his current position of Director of Strategy, Marketing and Distribution at
Deutsche Welle, which he has held since January 1, 2006. Prior to that, he worked as Editor in Chief for DW-WORLD.DE, where he turned the website into a multimedia, online platform available in 30 languages. Under his direction, DW-WORLD.DE became one of the most multi-faceted and modern portals on the Internet. The trade magazine “Cable & Satellite” recently recognized him as one of the top 50 experts in the world for broadband and pay TV.
