Steven Luys is responsible for Barco's Broadcast & Telecom markets in the Security & Monitoring Division. In these markets Barco sells products such as Reference Monitors, Networked Multiviewers, Interactive Studio Backdrop and large Video Walls for network operation centres.

Mr. Luys has over 12 years of experience in these industries for Barco, BarcoNet and Scientific-Atlanta. He started his career as sales manager Asia for Barco's well known line of broadcast monitors, and later took the cable-TV products in his portfolio. He ran the sales and marketing office for Southeast Asia & Australia in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for three years. Back in Belgium he developed Scientific-Atlanta's (now Cisco) set-top boxes and cable modems business in Europe. Now he is instrumental in bringing Barco's new reference monitor to the broadcast markets worldwide.

Steven Luys has a University degree in Electronic Engineering from University Ghent, Belgium, an International MBA from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School and took the Business-to-Business Strategic Marketing course at Harvard Business School. He is based in Belgium.
